Intra-Cavity Raman Laser Operating at 1193 nm Based on Graded-Index Fiber

Nonlinear Raman frequency conversion is an important technical scheme to obtain special optical band lasers based on conventional ion-doped lasers. In our work, we designed intra-cavity fiber laser graded index (GRIF) as the gain medium. Based fundamental-frequency 1080-nanometer laser, efficient first-order and second-order Stokes were obtained, respectively. When power of was 33.4 W, output 1193-nanometer 11.39 W. The corresponding efficiency 34.1%. To knowledge, this first report a GRIF structure. experiment, spectrum-purification process with increase in also observed. Our experimental results prove that intracavity Raman-laser system high has application potential for obtaining new special-application bands.
